Mining and Dwarves Tier List Hub

Launch-week ranks for dwarves, abilities, and skill paths — subjective on purpose.

Tier List Hub

This hub collects the Mining and Dwarves tier lists. It is launch week: the full game went live on Steam on 27 August 2026, the demo dropped on 10 June 2026, and nobody has a solved meta. Rankings here are arguments about spend order and attention, not patch-proof gospel. If a take disagrees with your mine, that is expected. Start with dwarf types if you are hiring, abilities if you are binding Q and W, and skill paths if you are staring at void shards.

What these lists cover

The dwarf list ranks confirmed roles only. Open dwarf types for Miner, Collector, Demolition, and a TBD bucket for the two unnamed specialists. The abilities list ranks all eight player skills, with Super Auto Miner and Multi Ore at the top and the clutter tools at the bottom. Skill paths ranks early, mid, and late buys on the tree without fake node IDs.

Kit text that is not a letter grade lives on the abilities guide. Role writeups live on the players hub. Use those when you want mechanics instead of S-through-TBD.

How we rank during launch week

Mining and Dwarves is a single-player incremental with no prestige. There is no ladder and no season reset. A rank is a statement about the loop: rocks, deposit, orb, repeat. We ask three questions. Does this dwarf or skill fill the deposit bar faster? Does it cut wasted motion (ore sitting on the floor, cursor off the cluster, ability sitting on cooldown)? Does it add juice without filling the screen with lasers that hide drops?

Launch-week reviews are mixed. Some players like the cozy shatter and the dwarf haul. Others call the tree linear, the later floor cluttered, and the grind a hallway. Those complaints are part of the ranking, not a footnote. A spectacular Reactive Rocks volley that makes the mine unreadable is not S-tier because it looks expensive.

Demo experience also skews takes. The demo only had Miner, Collector, and four abilities. Retail advertises five dwarf types and eight abilities. If a list still talks as if the demo roster is the whole game, ignore it. If a list invents names for the two missing specialists, ignore that too.

The three lists

Start with dwarf types if you are hiring. Collector is often the first quality-of-life spike because floor ore does nothing until it hits the sink. Miner scales shatter speed. Demolition is a later identity confirmed in Steam reviews, not a first-hour pickup. The rest is TBD on purpose.

Then read abilities. Super Auto Miner (Q) is a hover autoclick. Multi Ore (W) pays hardest on the orb. Refresher exists to chain those windows. Ore Vacuum is haul help. Strike the Earth and Enhancer are middling multipliers. Big Rock and Reactive Rocks are the visual clutter pile. Pies that spawn in the mine temporarily enhance skills; they are not a ninth ability with a rank of their own.

Finish on skill paths. Buy worker speed, carry, cooldown, and a mixed recruit line before you chase every VFX node. The tree is persistent. A bad cluster does not wipe the save; it just makes the hallway longer. Pair the path list with the abilities guide when you want kit text instead of letter grades, and with the players hub when you want role writeups instead of ranks.

What a letter grade is not

S does not mean you must main that dwarf. C does not mean the node is bugged. These lists will move when Sockhouse names the last two specialists or retunes cooldowns. Until then, treat the hub as a launch-week compass: hire mixed crews, hover Q on rocks, dump W on the orb, and spend shards on speed and carry before fireworks.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How is this tier list ranked?

By deposit-bar speed, wasted motion, and whether the juice is worth the clutter. It is launch-week and subjective. See dwarf types and abilities for the actual letters.

Is this the final meta?

No. The full game launched on 27 August 2026. Two dwarf types are still unnamed here, and cooldowns may move. Treat every grade as a snapshot.

Why is Collector so high early?

Ore on the floor does not pay until it hits the central deposit. That first haul spike is why Collector often outranks raw damage in the first session. The reasoning is on dwarf types.

Why are two dwarf types missing from the list?

Because we will not invent names. The full game has five types; only Miner, Collector, and Demolition are confirmed on this wiki. The rest sit in TBD until Sockhouse or a patch notes them.

Should I follow these ranks instead of the guides?

No. Learn the loop from the abilities guide and the players hub, then use ranks to break ties when two nodes cost the same shards.
